The vet has always had an important role in animal health and welfare, which has led to improved quality of life. Today, development and industrialization of animal products (meat, milk, fish, etc..) And the consequent demand for quality control and inspection of them, gives the figure of the veterinarian a greater role in society.
The students of the Veterinary UAX receive intensive theoretical and practical training through a personalized education in small groups by highly qualified teachers, which will train them as professionals of the highest order.
To this end, the UAX opened during the 2005-2006 academic year a large Veterinary Hospital equipped with the latest technology from Europe.

Congratulations to your choice of choosing SLU as you host university for your exchange period!
SLU has over 250 courses taught in English so there is a lot to choose from. You can find information about the courses in our course guide or in our web based course search system.
Who is an exchange student?
Exchange students are students who come from one of SLU’s partner universities. You can be an exchange student within the Erasmus programme, within the NOVA or ELLS network or coming from a university that has a bilateral agreement with SLU. To make sure that you fit into one of these categories, contact your international Office at your home university.
If you are interested in studying at SLU as an exchange student, begin by contacting the International Office/Study Abroad Office at your home university or department. To be able to be admitted to SLU as an exchange student your home university has to nominate you. In order to be admitted to a course you also have to fulfil the prerequisites.
Application
The deadlines for exchange students to apply to SLU are the 15th of October for the spring semester and the 15th of April for the fall semester or academic year.

Do not forget to enclose an official transcript of your academic record (an official document with all the courses you have taken on university level), in English and with ECTS credits (or information about credit system.
