Admission Requirements

A high school student wanting to apply for enrollment at NSU should meet the requirements listed below. Applications are reviewed on an individual basis so students not meeting all requirements should still apply. An Admissions Counselor will work with your application and inform you on any additional paperwork needed.

Requirements:
Achieve an 18 (or above) on the ACT test;
OR
Have a high school GPA of 2.6 (or above);
OR
Rank in the top 60% of the graduating class
AND
In addition to meeting one of the above, a student should have a “C” average in the following course work:

4 years of English.
3 years of advanced math.
3 years of social science.
3 years of lab science.
1 year of fine arts.

The following checklist should help in making sure that you have completed the necessary steps in starting your admissions process to NSU.
Take the ACT test.
Send us your ACT or SAT scores. We accept both.
Fill out the NSU application.
Remember the $20.00 application fee.
Contact your high school to have your official transcripts sent to NSU/ESC.
If you have taken any college classes, contact this school and request official transcripts be sent to NSU/ESC.
