Master in Veterinary Sciences at Universidad Nacional Andrés Bello
The Graduate Program leading to the Master in Veterinary Sciences and Veterinary Clinical Sciences mention mention of Conservation Medicine, represents a collaborative effort between scholars from the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources, other academic units of the Andrés Bello University and scholars from foreign universities and national, with whom the University has cooperation agreements and are equivalent graduate programs.
The objective of the Master in Veterinary Sciences, Faculty of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Universidad Andrés Bello is a scientific approach with specialized professionals to address animal welfare, animal medicine, animal health, public health, rescue of problem species conservation and ecosystem health in an interdisciplinary way.
Objectives
The program of Master in Veterinary Sciences of the Universidad Andrés Bello seeks general:
-Forming a professional with advanced knowledge in medicine, animal health, animal welfare, rescue, animal health and ecosystem level. For the above program with theoretical activities, seminars, practical and theoretical development of an investigation.
The Master of Science Thesis Veterinary Science Veterinary Clinic seeks to provide powers to:
Apply the concept of evidence-based medicine in clinical practice.
Apply the concepts and methodologies of clinical pathology and laboratory animal as an important tool in the diagnosis of animal diseases.
Apply the concept of animal welfare in research and animal medicine.
The Master of Science Thesis Veterinary Medicine of Conservation aims to give powers to:
-Determine and monitor the health of an ecosystem.
-Determine and monitor the health status of a wild animal population.
-Design and implement a program to rescue wild animal species with conservation problems.
Face-health problems on a scale of ecosystems.
-To know, understand and apply the multidisciplinary field of meaning for Conservation Medicine.

The program of Master in Veterinary Science is aimed at graduates or people with equivalent professional title. It is desirable that applicants have adopted a number of subjects in the following disciplines: Genetics, Physiology, Ecotoxicology, Parasitology, Microbiology, Animal Ecology, Infectious Diseases, Pathology, Molecular Biology, Epidemiology and Public Health.
