Postgraduate opportunities span all fields of life sciences, from the molecule to the cell, to the whole organism and environments. Projects are offered from a range of exciting and challenging research themes.

Three or four year PhD programmes, and one year MPhil programmes, are tailored to suit students with different levels of research experience and students are carefully matched with a supervisor of their choice.

Animal Science Undergraduate at Cornell University

Animal Science is to discover and disseminate new knowledge about the biology and management of domestic animals; apply this knowledge to benefit society through the efficient, humane, and environmentally responsible use of animals for food, companionship, and recreation; and educate students for careers in animal biology and management.

The animal science major offers an opportunity to apply biology, biochemistry, molecular biology and other life sciences to the study of animal breeding and genetics, nutrition, physiology, growth, behavior and management

BS Animal and Veterinary Science at University Of Maine

The Animal and Veterinary Sciences curriculum is designed to provide a broad biological training as well as a thorough understanding of the breeding, diseases, genetics, management, nutrition and physiology of large animals, and laboratory and companion animals. Animal and Veterinary Sciences courses also serve as elective opportunities for students in other agricultural and life sciences, and in other colleges. This department administers the Pre-Veterinary program and provides an opportunity for students to be certified to teach high school biology and agriculture.

The European Master in Animal Breeding and Genetics (EM-ABG) offers high quality training, both in terms of scientific knowledge and didactic skills, provided by six excellent university groups within the EU.
