Wednesday, March 18th, 2009Missouri S&T students have been very successful in gaining admission to medical, veterinary and dental schools. A pre-health professions program does not require a specific major. It does require considerable coursework in chemistry, biology, anatomy, biochemistry, physiology and one year of physics is highly recommended.

Missouri S&T pre-med students have the option of participating in the Bryant Scholars Program, a guaranteed admission program at the University of Missouri-Columbia’s School of Medicine. Bryant Scholars is designed to encourage young people from rural areas to pursue a medical education and return to practice in rural Missouri.
